Our Company

Palm Plantation

PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (‘NSS’) or NSS Group is a fast growing producer of palm oil that owns and operates several upstream plantation companies with five palm oil estates in Central Kalimantan. NSS Group specializes in high quality palm oil products: Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB), Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palm Kernels (PK) primarily for the domestic market.

On the back of strong leadership and solid human resources management, NSS embraces the highest standard of operating framework including continuous research on the health condition of its soil and plants as well as the accuracy of applied fertilizers for output yield maximization.

CPO Mill

In 2016, NSS started the operation of its first CPO mill with production capacity of 60 tons per hour in Kotawaringin Timur or 400,000 tons of FFB per year. Since then, NSS has consistently enlarged its mill production capacity in line with the Company’s expansion plans of its palm oil plantation areas. In consideration of more oil palm trees maturing in coming years with the potential of doubling FFB production, NSS has begun to construct a second CPO mill in 2021. This second mill is expected to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2023. The new mill will have a capacity of 60 tons per hour, resulting in a combined capacity of 120 tons per hour with the first mill or total of 800,000 tons FFB per year. NSS uses a conventional horizontal approach where the FFB are steam boiled down evenly through a sterilization process before further processing in the stripper.

Special Terminal and Direct Piping

The company uses a highly efficient and cost effective distribution method to transport its CPO from the CPO mill to the Special Terminal utilizing a direct piping mechanism compared to the common practice among smaller players, who rely on trucking to transport their CPO. This approach not only reduces transportation costs, but also ensures maximum tonnage of CPO transfered to the Special Terminal. The strategic advantage of NSSS lies in the mill's proximity to the river, efficiently transporting CPO through the direct piping mechanism. This direct piping mechanism will also be implemented in the company's second mill.

Established in 2008 and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in March 2023, PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk, hereinafter referred to as NSS, is a fast growing producer of palm oil that owns and operates five upstream integrated plantation companies with total planted and nucleus area of 46,000 ha located in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.
