Serving as the Company’s organ responsible for overseeing and advising the Board of Directors in accordance with the Company’s Articles of Association. Members of the Board of Commissioners are appointed and dismissed through resolutions conducted in General Meeting of Shareholders post candidacy process in accordance with the prevailing rules and regulations. The office term for Board of Commissioners is 5 years.
The Board of Commissioners has the following duty and responsibilities:
Mrs. Ester Hartati Satyono serves as President Commissioner of NSS since 2022. She has more than three decades of experience in the agribusiness and fishery industry. She started her career as a Marketing Manager at PT. Great Giant Pineapple (‘GGP’), a company owned by the Gunung Sewu group. During her tenure from 1984 to 1992 with her last position as Chief Executive Officer, she led the Company to becoming a top three leading producer of pineapples worldwide. She then served as President Director at PT Ocean Mitramas from 1992 to 2006. Since 2022, she has served as Commissioner of PT Ocean Mitramas and PT Mitra Propertindo Semesta.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco, USA in 1975.
Mr. Tungkot Sipayung has served as Commissioner of NSS since December 2024. He also serves as Executive Director of PASPI (Palm Oil Agribusiness Strategic Policy Institute).Palm Oil Agribusiness Strategic Policy Institute).
Previously, he worked as Special Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture in the Field of Agribusiness Development from 2000 to 2004, Member of the Board of Commissioners of PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (Persero) from 2008 to 2013, Member of the Board of Commissioners of PT Petrokimia Kayaku Gresik from 2002 to 2007, Chairman of the Advocacy Division of the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) from 2011 to 2015, Audit Committee of the Board of Commissioners of PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company from July 2016 to July 2017, and Risk Management and GCG Monitoring Committee of the Board of Commissioners of PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company from July 2017 to 2021. He has also held various positions such as Plantation Economics Expert Team of the State Intelligence Agency since 2018, Government Expert Team at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in facing the EU's Renewable Energy Directives (RED II) ILUC policy, Chairman of the Cross-Ministry and Association Team for the Preparation of the Indonesian Palm Oil Industry Roadmap, Board of Advisory of the Indonesian Plantation Institute, PT Perkebunan Nusantara III Holding, and Commissioner of PT Kawasan Industri Nusantara, PT Perkebunan Nusantara III Holding.
He also regularly teaches postgraduate programs at a private university in Indonesia.
He completed his Doctorate in Agricultural Economics at Bogor Agricultural University in 2000.
General TNI (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Dudung Abdurachman, S.E., M.M. has served as an Independent Commissioner of NSS since January 2026. He is also entrusted with the role of Special Advisor to the President on National Defense.
He possesses extensive leadership experience gained through a distinguished career in the Indonesian National Armed Forces – Army (TNI-AD). His career history included serving as Vice Governor of the Military Academy from 2015 to 2016, Special Staff to the Chief of Army Staff from 2016 to 2017, Deputy Assistant for Territorial Affairs to the Chief of Army Staff from 2017 to 2018, Governor of the Military Academy from 2018 to 2020, Commander of the Jayakarta Military Regional Command from 2020 to 2021, Commander of the Army Strategic Reserve Command in 2021, and Chief of Army Staff in 2021.
In the academic field, he has served as Professor of Strategic Management at the Military Law College (Sekolah Tinggi Hukum Militer – STHM) in 2023 and earned his Doctorate in Strategic Management from Trisakti University in 2022.
He completed his Doctorate in Public Policy at Brawijaya University in 2021
Mr. Robiyanto has served as a Commissioner of NSS since 2022. He also holds positions as Audit Committee Member, Commissioner, and Independent Commissioner at several publicly listed companies in Indonesia. Previously, he worked in the Strategic Planning Division at the Samator Group from 2007 to 2018 and served as Investment Director at the Satya Wacana Pension Fund from 2019 to 2021. He is also actively involved in teaching at various public and private universities in Indonesia.
He earned a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Financial Management from the Doctoral Program in Economics at Diponegoro University in 2015, and a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Environmental Science from the Doctoral Program in Environmental Science at Soegijapranata Catholic University in 2021. He holds several professional certifications, including the Certification in Certification in Audit Committee Practices (CACP), Certified Risk Professional (CRP), Certified Security Analyst (CSA), dan Certified Sustainability Report Specialist (CSRS).
